Audrey, the byword for timeless style and grace was once a resident of the Marbella scene. A lover of the Marbella Club Hotel and a friend of Prince Alfonso de Hohenlohe, the hotel’s founder, he guided her to a plot in Guadalmina Alta.

Affectionately referred to as Santa Catalina, Audrey and her first husband Mel Ferrer used this as one of their residences — a place to enjoy the sunshine and her relative anonymity here in southern Spain. It was a sanctuary where she could be at ease and at peace, experiencing authentic Andalusian culture alongside the international jet-set community that frolics on the Costa del Sol every year.

The property has retained its original charm, with wooden beams and courtyard patios, but now features a refined, contemporary design. It’s been completely modernised into an expansive six-bedroom, seven-bath residence with tennis court, private pool, and the much-coveted guest apartment (don’t ask me why, but this is not so common in Spain!)

This is an opportunity to own a slice of genuine Marbella history, tied to one of Hollywood’s most well-loved icons.

Audrey preferred to spend time at the pool rather than at the beach. Audrey mingled effortlessly with international high society, partying at the La Jacaranda nightclub, attending flamenco evenings at the beach club, and visiting bullfights at La Malagueta. Her home was a hub for spending time with friends like the Countess of Romanones, and she retained Spanish influences in fashion, embracing fisherman-style trousers alongside Givenchy, Dior, and Rabanne.
